So the last few days I have had this really bad headache. I chalked it up to stress from all the bullshit at work the last week - I was wrong. Oh boy was I wrong.
Today I was in Zellers and I couldn't focus. On anything. My head was pounding. I went to work still dazed and all, my head was just killing me. All of a sudden I found myself hunched over in the back in absolute pain as my back broke into spasms. Oh my God. I sat in the back in tears until they absolutely needed me out front then I went out and took orders on drive thru until I couldn't anymore and fell to the ground in tears. Mori helped me into the back and phoned Sherry and then sent me home.
I couldn't drive because of the spasms so Stuart came and picked me up. We went and saw Hot Fuzz, which I know sounds funny since I was skipping work... but really... I can't stand. Sitting is almost painless. So we snuggled up in the theatre, and man it was a fantastic movie. He massaged my back which also helped stop the spasms.
After the movie we went back to Timmie's so I could grab my car and to write my time up since I forgot to when I left. Alex informed me I wasn't missed at all tonight it was that dead. Nice to know I'm loved.
After that we went to Stuart's and curled up on the couch to watch Odd Job Jack and Family Guy. Then he played some Guitar Hero to show me how it all worked. Then, out of the blue broke out the most intense make out session we've had yet. Yeah, Family Guy doesn't usually turn me on so it was out of the blue, ok?
It was one of those "I can't keep my hands off you" moments where it just got intense right away, no leading up to anything. We were curled up on in his bed afterwards and he was giving me these light kisses on my cheek and I swear to God I had these huge urge to say "I love you"
*pause*
Really. Before I kinda of went along with whatever and if a guy said it I might say it back but I never felt that before. Like whoa. I didn't say it but just wanting to is huge. LOL.
Not long after that he fell asleep. It was so adorable. He snores quietly and makes these really cute facial expressions, and I think he grinds his teeth. He looked so cute, and so hot. He's just so freaking hot without his glasses. With his glasses he such a nerd. The differences are really kind of funny.
Now I have a couple days off, and Stuart has tomorrow off. Yay!!! Tomorrow night is a possible poker night at Liz's so this could be fun.
Oh man today was rough. Yesterday Brittany was sick so I told her to phone Trish - Trish said she couldn't go home. WTF? After a couple hours of her throwing up and customers bringing stuff back to be remade 'cause they don't wanna get sick I phoned Trish and said we'd be fine without her and got permission to send Britt home.
Well today Brittany was told I was in trouble for that and if she left today she'd be fired. Oh I was pissed. First of all, Trish doesn't have the authority to fire anyone. Second, we can't have someone who's sick as a dog there no matter how short staffed we are, and we're not 'cause we have an extra person even.
So today when I got there I realized right away that she's even worse then yesterday. I tried to phone Sherry, no answer. Alicia... nothing. Finally I sent her home without permission. *gulp* I was scared to death 'cause if I was in trouble for doing the right thing yesterday....
Luckily Alicia came through drive thru at about seven and I told her and she said it was fine so yay for her permission!
Tomorrow I'm going to have to have a chat with Sherry 'cause this was fucking ridiculous. I mean seriously, I got written up for getting permission to send someone who was really sick home???
{OMG has anyone seen the video "Cheaper To Keep Her" by Aaron Lines??? PAUL BRANDT! LMAO}
So anyways... that was the fun of work. Then I asked Mooch to put a headset on and he didn't and then I had this major rush. I FUCKING HATE WHEN THEY DO THAT! *pouts*
I was bitching to Stuart about it and he said something like, "What's the matter my precious" and I'm like, "What did you call me???" So he continually called me that in every text message after that. LMAO. It was odd, and very Gollum like.
Oh thank God. Sherry just phoned and was like, "You know that week you only have two days scheduled?"
Yes....
"That's because I forgot to write you in."
O.o
"Amanda just pointed it out and I was like 'What? No, she's doing five to one's! And then I saw it and went 'Oh sheesh."
Ummm....
"I was just in a hurry to get it up and missed putting your time in, but the numbers counting the staff, those include you."
Well I was just freaked out 'cause Ryan is schedule 5-1 on the Saturday.
"I gave you a Saturday night off. I figured I couldn't give you Sunday yet so I thought a Saturday would be nice."
*squee*
The Johnny Reid concert tonight was amazing!!!
When we got there (I went with Alex) we went to the table to get a t-shirt and dogtags, one for me and one for Alex. In all there went my $40 I borrowed from my bro. LOL. But totally worth it.
Jessie Farrell opened up the show. Yeah, I'd never heard of her either... LOL. But check out her MySpace 'cause she was actually pretty cool. Her band was awesome too (check out Jesse Tucker and Ryland in her friends list).
During intermission absolutely everyone grabbed their cell phones to find out the score of the Canuck game... it was 3-1 Anaheim in the second. :(
Then, OH MY GOD, it was Johnny Reid!!!! Oh man he looked fabulous, and front row was incredible. He was RIGHT THERE!!! And my God, his voice is even better in person than it is on his albums - and his voice is amazing on those. LOL. He has a great sense of humour, and OMG his accent! Think Kiefer Sutherland's low voice with a scottish accent and you have Johnny Reid's. It was awesome.
When he sang Missing An Angel, at the end he stepped away from the mic and belted it out on his own. It was incredible. His voice is just so powerful. When he sang Out Of The Blue he said the next song was in Scottish and he'd teach it to us first... this is what he said.
"It goes 'Na na na na na na na' - that's Scottish. 'Na na na na na na na' - that is too. 'Na na na na na na na' - that's Canadian. 'Right out of the blue'."
It was funny. Then he was introducing his band and the one guitar guy is French Canadian so he was explaing that the band used to be three French Canadians and three English Canadians and the band's name was Referendum. Oh man I haven't laughed that hard in ages. The guitar player refused to tell what their motto was so Johnny shared it instead... "Just prove that we really can't get along." /amused
After the show Alex and I both went and nabbed a set list, and everyone got jealous. LOL! But I always do that at the Tidemark, the guys are happy to give 'em out. So here's what it says the song order was:
- Which Way Is Home
Still Talkin' 'Bout You
Gypsy In My Soul
I Promise You
Love Sweet Love
Out Of The Blue
Here I Am
Poo Poo
**Johnny Solo**
She Calls Me Home
Kicking Stones
Darlin'
To The End Of The Road
Feelin' Alright Today
Sixty To Zero
Country Girls
I Need A Woman
Missing An Angel
You Still Own Me
E: Thank You
Afterwards Jessie was in the lobby so Alex got his hat signed and I got a picture with her and the guys. Then we waited in line for Johnny. Alex got his set list signed and I had my copy of "Kicking Stones" with me for him to sign. Then I went to get a picture and... my batteries were dead. D'oh! So Johnny is trying to help us out with finding someone who could e-mail it but the people behind me had extra batteries. Eeee! Johnny couldn't believe the charity. (I could, but hey, it's CR. We rock.) So then it took forever for Alex to get the camera working and some how Johnny managed to hold his pose until the camera finally worked. So yes, I got a picture with Johnny Reid. Oh so awesome!!!
And then the band filled us in on the game... fucking 'nucks. *sigh* I called a loss on this game, but 5-1. WTF is that boys???
Afterwards we went to my mom's to mooch $10 and then to Timmie's. I went to check the schedule, Sherry posted the next two weeks worth. Next week I'm scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, but Wednesday and Sunday I'm 5-12 instead of 5-1. Fair enough, they don't need me 'til 1 on those days but now I'm only 38 hours a week.
But the the following week my schedule is 5-1 on Friday and 5-12 on Sunday, and that's it. WTF?
Now I left Sherry a note earlier this week requesting Sunday's off. I've been requesting Sundays off for two months now, and I have a good reason. I get the shot for my back on Saturdays. Now working Saturday is fine because it's numb, but Sunday the muscles are all tenses up and it's really painful. So if that's the reason I'll be right pissed.
I'm also hearing complaints that 3-11's aren't working, which is bull shit. Now the last couple nights I went into the back to send a text message, but only if it was slow. But seriously, when I get there the first thing I do is check the list and finish it up. And between 11 and 1 all I do is stock everything up, so I don't understand the complaints about 3-11's. But if that's it, or if it's 'cause Alex and I goof off a bit, I'll be right pissed as well. If she even mentions the text messaging this will be my response: "Did you cut back Brittney's hours? Emily's? How about Amanda's? Because the all talk on the phone all night and can't be interrupted, at least I'm only doing this when it's dead. And it's only occasionally. But I work. Amanda, for Christ sakes, spent the last two days I worked with her in the back out of uniform."
I swear to God if there isn't a good reason behind this I am going to quit. Now I did ask for a week off in May, for Duncan's wedding, so I thought it might be possible she got the week wrong... but the Saturday between two days of work is throwing me off. So if this is punishment for anything I am quitting, because I honestly did nothing wrong.
It's all fucking bullshit. And now I have a really bad stress headache. And Johnny is currently rocking out at the Quinnie but I'm in no mood to go. I hate stress.
